How to buy a synthesiser, synthesiser keyboard or synthesiser controller for video and film making part 2

This article explains why a syntheiser, keyboard synthesizer or synthesizer controller is useful in video and film making for creating background music and sound effects, and it includes a link to a teaser or trailer video clip from one of my short films called ‘Duckman’ that could be improved by having background music or sound effects provided by a synthesizer of some kind

The only reason it doesn’t have any background music or sound effects so far is, I’m still researching buying a synthesiser of some kind, and I’ve posted an article explaining how to do this in a post called ‘How to buy synthesiser, keyboard synthesiser or synthesiser part 1.’
In the first few seconds of the video clip, the introductory part, I could really have used some kind of background music – something to convey the mood of the film.
In the later parts of the video clip I’ve just about ‘got away’ or escaped from the need to have some background music – the sound of the ducks provides a kind of ‘background music.’
Ok, background noise. Whatever. What I’m saying is, the sound of the ducks ‘covers up’ the lack of background music or sound effects.

Is background music and sound effects as created by a synthesizer, keyboard synthesizer or synthesizer controller really necessary in film making?

This might raise the question of whether we really need background music or sound effects in a short film.
If, for example, your short film mostly consists of natural background sounds such as people talking do you really need anything any background music or sound effects?
My guess is that most short films could be improved by having some kind of background music or sound effects, if only for a short period.
Overall, I think that that if providing you don’t spend more money than you have to do, as explained in ‘How to buy a synthesiser, synthesiser keyboard or synthesiser controller for video and film making part 1‘,  it makes sense to buy a synthesiser, keyboard synthesiser or synthesiser controller for film making.
