Sony Vegas text editing problem troubleshooting part 2
This article explains how to solve the problem of the text editor\text editing window in Sony Vegas video editing software not appearing on the screen when Vegas is launched, and it’s a continuation of my previous article ‘Sony Vegas text editing solution part 1.’
Basic Sony Vegas text editor\text editing troubleshooting
Before trying my solution to the problem I suggest that you try this basic check.
Make sure that the text editor window is not concealed behind any other windows.
Minimise or close all of the other windows (apart from the main window of course) to check if the text editor is concealed behind them.
Advanced Sony Vegas text editor\text editing troubleshooting
If this doesn’t work, it might be time to try my solution.
My solution is a little unconventional, but it does work, at least it does for me, so the chances are it will work for you.
Firstly, create a new user account in Windows. This user account can be just an ordinary user account, it doesn’t have to have administrative rights.
When you have created this new user account, log on to it and open Sony Vegas. You will now almost certainly find that the text editor window appears. You can then edit text in the normal way.
I suggest that you use this new user account that you have created entirely for editing in Sony Vegas editing software. In other words, when you are logged on as this user don’t use any other software – just use Vegas.
Alternative text editor\text editing troubleshooting
An alternative to this solution, of course, is to delete your current copy or installation of Vegas and install a new copy or installation of Vegas.
