How to edit long video clips in Sony Vegas part 2
This article explains how to save long video clips in Sony Vegas when you have finished editing them in their own instance of Vegas, as explained in How to edit long video clips in Sony Vegas part 1.
As explained in part 1, when you have finished editing your long video clip in its own instance of Vegas you can either cut and paste it into the timeline along with all the other video clips. or you can copy it into the timeline.
Personally I copy any long video clips that I’ve edited, and save them as a new Vegas project.
There might be a time when I’ll need to re-edit these clips, and it’s far easier to re-edit them when they have been saved as a project.
The alternative is to re-edit them on the timeline with all of the other video clips, which yet again will mean moving all of the other video clips on the timeline and moving them back into the place when you have finished re-editing.
If you do save these video clips as a new Vegas project it’s a good idea to save the project using the same file name as the file name of the video clip.
This way, it’s easy to find it.
